Nested at Long Beach Street, Brgy. Arnedo, Bolinao is the newest eco resort facing the West Philippine Sea and featuring birdhouses, sumptuous food, relaxing ambiance, courteous and friendly resort staffs, and super bait na resort owner is what Birdland Beach Club offers to their guests.
Celebrated my post-birthday weekend with my highschool friends at Birdland and I must say… Babalik Kami Dito! (We’ll deifinitely go back!)
We stayed at the Elle Fritzgerald and Billie Holiday Room and to our surprise each room is equipped with a 50 inch tv with cable, family fridge, hot and cold shower and it comes with a mouthwatering breakfast! The best right?! Cooked foods are also allowed with no corkage whatsoever… isn’t it the best deal ever?!
My friends also enjoyed their 90minute massage and I can hear someone really enjoyed it, humihilik kasi… The Who? *secret* We also enjoyed other activities like playing at their mini golf and tried their donut ride. A friend almost catch a fish that jump off from nowhere.
This is the absolute Life in the Province! Fresh Air… Quiet Ambiance… Delicious Foods… Great Company!
Now here are our “baon” or the cooked food that we brought (special mention to Christine for these photos)… Tapa, Special laing, Adobong Puti, Kilawing Bangus and Pork Binagoongan… Isn’t it moutwatering? hehehe
And here are the foods that the resort’s Papayeah Cafe served us…
For our breakfast…
And before we head home, we tried their specialty..
Now am I making you drool over the foods that we tried?
Thank you Sir Mike and Mam Joanna Ledesma for having us… We are so relaxed and the food was really sumptuous! Did I just said your food was delicious thrice? hahah… Au Revoir!
It’s the month of June and I can’t help myself from screaming out loud “huling hirit sa tag-init!” (last hurrah this summer). Thinking for another place to visit and capture that picture perfect selfie?
As a true Pangasinense, Bolinao is on top of my list as one of the best vacation and romantic places here in the province. Remember the music video of Viktoria for her song Dahan Dahan? Where she and Patrick Guzman played lovers and some of the province tourist spots were featured. Among them were the Lingayen Capitol, Cape Bolinao Lighthouse, the Ruins of Cape Bolinao and the Rock Formaton in Patar Beach.
The place though has been considered one of the romantic engagement or prenuptial photoshoots.
After a decade, here I am exploring once more the treasures of Pangasinan. The road going to Bolinao is no rough road anymore.
First stop, Bolinao Falls. Who wouldn’t be captivated with its cold and clear water. The picturesque view never failed photographers to capture the emotions of the couple while the water falls is inviting everyone to jump in.
Next stop, the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. What more can I say with this place? The place was featured with that of Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez’s last movie, The Promise. It was constructed in the year 1905 by Filipino, American and British architects. It is considered as the second highest lighthouse next to Cape Bojeador Lighthouse of Ilocos Norte. It became as one of the well-known tourist spots in Pangasinan.
Palawan and Boracay considered as one of the top destinations of tourist because of its white sand? But did you know that Patar Beach can be an alternative to that of white sand? Along side with its white sand is the famous rock formation, formed by dead corals. What a picture perfect it is!
Bolinao is one of honeymoon destinations. Puerto del Sol is on top of my list. their standard room is at pHp 8,000 with free breakfast for two. They have the longest infinity pool in Pangasinan. Am I hearing, “Wow!” Interesting water sport activities like Kayaking, Diving, Snorkeling, Banana Boat among others are offered by the resort.
Another resort that you should try is the promising, Sundowners Vacation Villas. Known for its Santorini inspired resort is now the latest and most sought out resort and one of the top googled destination in the country. Their Bouganvilla Room is at pHp 4,500 good for 2-4 pax. You can bring your own food and drinks without any Corkages. Their villas have fully equipped kitchen for everyone.
I have to be honest, though I haven’t tried the place I can say it is one of my bucketlist. Why I haven’t tried? Their 2016 calendar is fullybooked and I have to wait for next year to enjoy and relax in one of their villas.
But if you are looking for a budgeted yet perfect resort to stay in Bolinao, El Pescador Beach Resort is what I can think of. Situated near the town’s market marks a perfect getaway to everyone who are at budget. Their fan kubo is at pHp 1,800 good for 2. Not bad isn’t it? You can also bring your own food and drinks with no Corkages to pay. The resort was also featured at ABS CBN’s teleserye Tubig at Langis.
Hay…. summer really never ends when you’re in paradise. So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and hit the road to the treasure of Pangasinan…. See you soon Bolinao!
The City of Alaminos is the fourth class city in Pangasinan. And when you are talking about this city, the famous Hundred Islands is the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind.
Hundred Islands is one of Filipino pride. Located in the south western part of Pangasinan and it is composed of 100 to 123 islands and islets. The islands are composed of hard rocks and some are with thick vegetation around. With its clear water and white sand, one will definitely say… welcome to paradise! There is also an island that resembles to a giant turtle. The islands that you can roam around and even stay overnight are Governor’s Island, Quezon Island, Children’s Island, Marcos Island, Lopez Island and Clave Island.

Last time I visited the island was in the 90s and here I am re-visiting the pride of Alaminos.
How To Get There:
From Manila, take a bus going to Alaminos, Pangasinan. Fare is just pHp 400 one way.
Travel Time: 5-6 hours (of course depending on traffic…)
Upon arriving to Alaminos, take a tricycle ride going to Lucap Wharf. Fare is around pHp 80-100.
When you reach the Lucap Wharf, make sure to register at the Tourism Office. From there, they will ask for your name, address, contact details and emergency details. They will collect an environmental fee for pHp 40 day tour / pHp 80 overnight tour per person and and insurance fee of pHp 10 per person.
The employees there will also give you map and list of the things to do that you will enjoy during your trip.
They will also give you the kind of boat that will take you from one island to another. Boat Rental depends on the boat size / capacity: Small Boat (max 5 pax) is pHp 1,400 day tour and pHp 3,000 overnight / Medium Boat (max 10 pax) is pHp 1,800 day tour and pHp 3,800 overnight / Large Boat (max 15 pax) is pHp 2,000 day tour and pHp 4,500 overnight.
I was stunned and speechless with the scenery. Its white sand is nothing compared to that of Boracay. The clear water is picture perfect. I was teary-eyed when I jumped out of the boat and feel the coldness of the sea water because the beauty was well maintained by the local government. And for that I give them 2 thumbs up!

I did enjoy the trip…. so if you are planning to visit Pangasinan, don’t forget to include Hundred Islands in your itinerary. It is worth the travel.
It has been 5 years since I visited this place called paradise. Palawan is one of the last Unexplored Islands in the Pacific. The province is nestled between Mindoro Island and North Borneo and considered Philippines’ largest province, covering 1.5 million hectares. Palawan also gained the title “Haven of the Philippine Wildlife” because of the presence of 323 species of wildlife.
And when you think of Palawan…. Coron is on top of our itinerary. What’s with Coron that tourists kept on coming back? The white sands, diving spots, good food and friendly locals….
When we had our honeymoon, we were looking for a place to stay that is on our budget but a great spot to relax and enjoy the nature. That is where Divelink Island Resort tops our choices.
Divelink is a 10 minute boat ride from Coron town proper and this island resort is located on a sheltered hillside where there is a majestic view of different islands and clear sea water around it. It is also situated where the World War II wrecks are best preserved and feed your adventurous side as you go snorkeling and explore the Japanese freighters that lie on the shallow pits.
We were greeted by their friendly staff and gave us a welcome drink, fresh coconut juice. I enjoyed every minute and every hour during our stay in this place, with their mouth-watering foods, pleasant staffs and their exciting recreation and amenities.
I will definitely go back at Divelink Island Resort….
Romblon is an island province in the Philippines located in MIMAROPA Region. It lies south of Marinduque and Quezon, east of Mindoro, north of Aklan and Capiz, and west of Masbate. Its capital is also named Romblon.
This is the province of my partner, bestfriend, bodyguard, ex-boyfriend and now husband. I have been in Odiongan, Romblon (one of the 17 municipalities) where I stayed with my in-laws for a week. First timer to ride a ferry and i have to say, the cabin is airconditioned though it’s jampacked yet it’s clean. Double decks is what you will see inside the cabin. The cabin is for all. You may want to stay outside and see the ocean and sunset. You may opt to ride a plane but it will cost you a bit higher.
So if you are looking for a serene and a perfect view of the ocean, this is one of the many places in our country that you must include in your travel list. I will definitely come back here!
Have you ever been to Lingayen, Pangasinan? Lingayen is one of the 44 municipalites that comprises the province of Pangasinan including 4 cities too. Lingayen is said to be the province’s capital. I am proud to be a Pangasinense by birth and by heart.
There are lots of beautiful beaches in Lingayen but El Puerto Marina Beach Resort and Spa is one that captivates my heart.
El Puerto Marina is situated in Don Martin Domingo St. and its beachlines is nestled along the Lingayen Gulf Coast. It is a place where you can see the clear blue sea with its powdery volcanic sand thus giving the shore a glittering gold-like particles when the sun reflects on it.
Aside from its magnificent beach, they also have their swimming pool named Tiki’s place. You will enjoy your stay at their airconditioned rooms and feast on their sumptuous foods. Relaxed with their signature massages and spas.
The resort is also a good place for company outing, family outing, reunions, honeymoon, parties and even your wedding.
I brought my friends here last May 1, 2011 and they had terrific time. So, when you are in town and looking for a place to stay I recommend El Puerto Marina.
